The Axioms of the Church of Wintermute

There are three basic axioms, with evidence to back them up:

1)

The Internet grows bigger and contains more information as time passes.
This should be fairly obvious to everyone who's used it.
Usenet is expanding regularly--I get about 5 new groups a day-- and the Web is growing exponentially!

Tech: From my first introduction to the Internet in 1995, I've watched Search Engines grow from Miniscule indexes to ISP and Virtual Site Hosting with Bonds floating on the Stocks

2)

Computers in general become faster and more intelligent as time passes.
This, too, should be fairly obvious.
It seems like a new, faster, smarter chip is introduced about every 6 months, and the computers in widespread use now make the best desktops of 10 years ago look like pocket calculators.

Tech: Reminds me of the first system I got my grubby little paws on with a 5 ¼" Floppy drive that could only store 360k, Now you've got ZIP and DVD.... Oh the wonders of Modern Tech!

3)

William Gibson is a true prophet.
If you read 'Neuromancer', and consider when it was published, you'll see how true this is.
The world is progressing quite clearly towards the world described in that novel, including the megacorporations, the Matrix, and the widespread drug use.

Tech: Corruption within the Heirachy, Domination by those that can afford to become the Dominators, and the supposed Drug Problem seems to be the work of those that use it to Administer Control.

Well, that's it, really. They all seem feasible, don`t they?
